"Panasonic" was first used for a speaker released in 1955 designed for the export market, and comes from the root words "Pan," meaning universal, and "Sonic," referring to sound. It's a word that refers to our goal of "bringing our sound to customers around the world." Following that, Panasonic became a brand known around the world for a wide range of products.
